The resulting nano-suspension was subjected to particle size analysis. The optimized batch formulation was then frozen at -80 °C for 4 hours, and subsequently freeze-dried for 24 hours at -90 °C and 0.0010 mbar using mannitol (1%, w/v) as a cryoprotectant in a laboratory-scale freeze-dryer.
